NO POINTING FINGERS

A man asked his father-in-law, "Many people praised you for a
successful
marriage. Could you please share with me your secret?"
The father-in-law answered in a smile, "Never criticize your wife for
her
shortcomings or when she does something wrong. Always bear in mind that
because of her shortcomings and weaknesses, she could not find a better
husband than you."

We all look forward to being loved and respected. Many people are
afraid of
losing face. Generally, when a person makes a mistake, he would look
around
to find a scapegoat to point the finger at. This is the start of a war.
We
should always remember that when we point one finger at a person, the
other
four fingers are pointing at ourselves.

If we forgive the others, others will be more discreet about our mistakes too.

TRUST is a very important factor for all relationships. When trust is
broken, it is the end of the relationship. Lack of trust leads to
suspicion, suspicion generates anger, anger causes enmity and enmity
may
result in separation.

A telephone operator told me that one day she received a phone call.
She
answered, "Public Utilities Board." There was silence. She repeated,
"PUB."
There was still no answer. When she was going to cut off the line, she
Heard a lady's voice, "Oh, so this is PUB.Sorry , I got the number from
my
Husband's pocket but I do not know whose number it is."

Without mutual trust, just imagine what will happen to the couple if
the
telephone operator answered with just "hello" instead of "PUB".

noooo, not robinson crusoe's dog, friday=P its friday! oh wait..*thinks* was Friday crusoe's dog or fren? hmmmmmm.....oh nvm..woohoo!! i feel that friday was an interesting day for the new RCs(rota commanders).

firstly, all of us didnt feel like waking up early. I tink all of us were tired la trying to catch up with the workload for the 1st wk. The schedule for the day was quite relax. Our firefighters were having their IPPT review.basically, we dun have 2 do anything about it. I was assigned to do an interview of the guy who was charged and now in DB(detention barrack). Thennnn, i followed my colleagues for an AWOL(absence w/o leave) visit. This guy is in TROUBLE. when he gets back, if he does, he will be put away to DB.

We went to his home. Nobody was home and so we knocked on their neighbours door. One said that the mum juz left for a nearby coffeeshop. We decided to follow up and caught up with her. The mum was VERY nice!!! haiz, i wonder what his son was thinkin. She was worried but this wasnt the 1st time. well sons out there, take notice of ur parents ya. Treasure them while they r still alive. people tend to regret when the people they care leave this world.

Dats all for friday.

Gd eveningggg ladies and gentlemen. Have u every wondered y it is LADIES and GENTLEMEN and NOT the other way round? well,i dunno. *sHrUgS*

anyway, dats not the main point. the main point is my 1st week as a rota commander @ civil defence academy.

Truly, the sleeping giant has been awaken. Although still half aslp, but im sure by nxt wk ill go "fiii fi foo fum!!!" thx Rota 2. im sure u will truly, madly, deeply miss the sleeping giant. haiz, mak da ckp!!! jgn kacau, korang degil!

yes guys, slowly but surely, im showing no mercy. juz this afternoon, i tekan the whole rota(platoon). be it on light duty or not, i made ALL of the do it. you noe,i really didnt wanna do it but i guess its for their own good and its for YOUR(civilians) own good. if i dont do it, den u guyz will have kuniang firefighters. these people has no sense of fighting spirit, they cannot cooperate among themselves and ill discipline. one thing i cannot stand is poor cooperation. They LOVE killing one another. they keep blaming everyone else but them.

during the bunk inspection, i didnt even punish them for the untidiness of their bunk(coz il b setting double standards if i did=P) but their ATTITUDE!, i CANT TAKE IT ANYMOREEE!!! ARGHHHH!!!!*TURNS HULK GREEN*

i let them off for nights off asking for a return in the form of better performance the nxt few day but to no avail. i had 2 threaten them dat i would confine them nxt wk if they dont improve. actually, im ok if their firefighting skills r nt dat good but its their attitude that im troubled by. firefighting can b trained over 12wks but attitude? might b thruout ur entire LIFE!

firefighters reading this entry, do buck up!!! b4 u c the ugly side of me..u dun wanna b woken up @ 1am to run around the camp right? and u dun wanna go thru BA endurance with me.thx 2 the schedule, i couldnt conduct my BA endurance this evening.well frens outthere, do pray for these actually-capable firefighters.

Today is my 3rd day at work.I slpt at camp the night before. I tink its alot better staying in than to go back home. When im there, i slp early and so having enough rest. and everytime i go home, i get bz..and in the end i sleep late-_- ive decided to stay in the wk xcept on wed from nxt wk onwards. If u guyz have anything for me ONLINE, can c me on wednesdays=D on other days, give me a call or sms k.

As usual,i make my way to the office at abt 7.30am. After checking my emails, and clearing my table a lil,6 of my men came in to report sick! SIX out of 26..wat the G@%((T%(@%&%@(!!!!! i NEVER doubted any1 reporting sick but THIS is TOO MUCH! i couldnt handle it, so i asked the DI(Duty Instructor) to handle it. Some were complainin like cuts and cramps and headaches! ok, i am NOT suppose to b judging BUT is this what a firefighter is like? if they r,i wouldnt feel safe in their hands.sheesh.when they left to report sick,i could feel my temper rising.now, i feel like i can treat them they way they should!*MUAHAHAHAHA* *EVIL* i dunno mann...the other commanders told me not to b nice to them. If im nice, they will b like crawlin all over my head.*Dilemma*

I gave them a piece of my mind just now. I really hope it gets to their head. Firefighters are supposed 2 b the toughest men around PHYSICALLY.

Training at MTV was slack. hmm..oh well. These guys r into their 8wks of training already. I dont think i can do much but just supervise.hope to start a new when the new batch comes.

im tired now, gd night -_-zzZz

I CHARGE U!!
Peace be upon everyone!

Today is my first day at work as a leftenan. I reached work pretty early, sayyy, 7.40am. Didnt really feel that awkward. Came to the office put my stuff down and waiting for my officer in charge.

He came in and was greeted by a number of trouble-making firefighters. I was sitting outside his office and so i heard him screwing the guy upside down! and the last thing i heard was.."I CHARGE U!" Then, the provost came and handcuffed him away. He was in tears. What a way to start work i thought.

He then called us in. Had some minor briefing of our job scope. I was assigned to ROTA(ROTAtion) 2. He said he would like to visit Norhakim, the guy hospitalised for a bike accident. There, we met up with his parents. My OC(Officer Commanding) gave a financial aid form to them. I stood there and listened to what they have to say. I almost broke down but i knew i cant as i was in uniform. About their parents not working, about Hakim being the family's hope.Oh Allah, how come I never appreciate life as much?

We went to take a look at Hakim again and thx to him, i was holding back my tears again. He said to my officer, "sir, sorry sir". What the heck! and the next thing dat touched me from head to toe was his fighting spirit when my officer asked him how he was feeling."I feel stronger",clenching his fist with all the strength he had as if he would be able to walk again tmr. Oh Allah, plz plz plz make him walk again and grant him and his family strength and faith to hang on.

We reached back CDA at abt 1530hrs. Came back to office and had tests papers to mark. And then i realised i had to interview my rota. and i had to checked my work mail. Oh, great, i have plenty of work to do=D I left work at 2020hrs. im tired but im happy=) May i find peace and satisfaction in working here. Firefigher ROX!
