Raihan

Ku mengharapkan Ramadhan
Kali ini penuh makna
Agar dapat kulalui
Dengan sempurna

Selangkah demi selangkah
Setahun sudah pun berlalu
Masa yang pantas berlalu
Hingga tak terasa ku berada
Di bulan Ramadhan semula

Puasa satu amalan
Sebagaimana yang diperintahNya
Moga dapat ku lenturkan
Nafsu yang selalu membelenggu diri
Tiada henti-henti

Tak ingin ku biarkan Ramadhan berlalu saja
Tuhan pimpinlah daku yang lemah
Mengharungi segalanya dengan sabar
Kita memohon pada Tuhan diberikan kekuatan
Ku merayu pada Tuhan diterima amalan

Selangkah demi selangkah...
Dengan rahmatMu oh Tuhanku...
Ku tempuh jua

Don't Be Sad - Signposts on The Seeker's Highway
Assalaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu,

I pray that this reaches you in the best of health and Eeman.

If one wants to know whether one is climbing upwards toward success, there are certain signs and indications that can help him to determine his progress.

1. As one becomes more knowledgeable, one becomes more humble and merciful to others. Think of an expensive pearl: the more heavy and valuable it is, the deeper it is in the ocean. A wise person knows that though knowledge is a gift, Allah tests the one whom He gives it to. When one is thankful for the gift of knowledge, one will be raised in ranking.

“Allah will exalt in degree those of you who believe, and those who have been granted knowledge.” Surah Al-Mujadilah – Ayah 11.

2. The more one performs good deeds, the more one becomes cautious and fearful, in the sense that he does not feel secure from error, such as a slip of the tongue or a change of heart. He is always in a state of watching over himself and of being wary. He is like a careful bird: each time it lands on a tree, it soon leaves it for another, afraid of the skilled hunter and his bullet.

3. The older one gets, the less covetous should one be for this world, for he comes to know with certainty that his time is soon finished.

4. The wealthier one becomes, the more generous should one be towards others. The wealthy Muslim must understand that his wealth is a trust that is given to him, and that Allah is testing him in that wealth.

5. The higher one’s status becomes in society, the closer should he be to ordinary people, showing humility and fulfilling their needs.

Wasalaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu Ahsin.

Once upon a time, there was an arguement over 2 words. hmm..

Bobo: hey! i like the print "FIRE INSTRUCTOR" on the back of the tshirt!

Bubu: hmm. i tink it would look better if it was "FIRE COMMANDER". More garang like that.

Bobo: nahhhhh, i still prefer "FIRE INSTRUCTOR". It juz looks good.

Bubu: Well then, explain why it is not the 10 Instructions, instead its the 10 Commandments??

O Ramadhan!
O Ramadhan, finally you are here!
The month I hold my heart so dear
Much we have toiled to play different roles
Now I rejuvenate the spirit and tired soul
O Ramadhan it’s been a long wait!
Now’s time to reflect on our state!

Standing in long nights’ prayer
Every moment as precious treasure
Muslims is mosques in straights formation
The symphony of Quranic recitations
Hold my heart full of joy unexplained

The state which the heart weeps in awe
Of the fountain of Allah’s greatness and Mercy
Sighing and to contemplate deeply
Of the unangelic deeds I did hastily
Now I take time to sit and reflect
On all my actions which I must correct
To clean the heart we must try
The stained soul we must also purify

Our minds be chained – free from stress
The nafs we must lock and suppress
Waste not time to idle in worldly cares
For Ramadhan is month of pure comfort
To delight is his pleasure and cleanse our sin
From the restless heart within
Striving and fighting the inner foe
As tears of repentance starts to flow
As sweet love for Allah grows and grows

Salam all! da lama gak eh tk update..hehe..been bz la.plenty 2 say..tapi mcm malas sket..hee..juz a lil bit la for now.

yea.my new posting! FFTW.it is officially 8-5.30 working hrs but the workload is NEVER just that! huhu.Every morning, you are suppose 2 ensure that training starts EXACTLY at 8am or elseeeeeee, ur head will b on the chopping board-_-" (its pretty normal for Rota Commanders like us get our heads on the chopping board). and soo..wat time i have 2 b in camp?? 7.30am. and for me who's stayin @ tampines and to travel to jalan bahar the other end of singapore, i have to leave home at about 6.30. i tink starting work early is not really a problem. the challenge what time work ends everyday..

Basically you r xpected 2 stick around with ur rota(rotation mcm platoon gitu) from 8am to the end of training 5.30pm. and what awaits u issss paper work! yay! isnt that great? heeeeehhhh..-_-" ni yg part lengit. balik ofis ajer, read emails, mark papers, SET papers, attend to MCs, complains and also ur firefighters' requests. quite a handful 2 handle. *phew* and after attending to all those things, it would already b abt 9pm++..and its time 2 go home.imagine doing that for another year=O im gonna be bald man..now YOU guyz noe why we people are the highest paid NSF.heh..if dzar was reading this, he would say "ouhh u lucky brat" but nooo..he doesnt understand the stuffs we have 2 do..booo..

i miss being free 2 do anything that i want. i guess age is catching up. Responsibilities are piling up. i am growing up. dats life..cope with it..or lose out=)

ramadhan is everyone's favourite mth..mine too..this yr, i feel at lost. i wasnt prepared for the mth.and frm the 1st day til now, im very much contained with my firefighters..i believe its an amanah too to groom them. i am very much torn btwn both and 2 juggle my priority, its sooooo difficult. All the more, i need ur doa guyz and gals reading this! ku mengharapkan ramadhan ini lagi baik dari ramadhan yg lepas!

BE PATIENT

This is a true story which happened in the States. A man came out of
his
home to admire his new truck. To his puzzlement, his three-year-old son
was
happily hammering dents into the shiny paint of the truck. The man ran
to
his son, knocked him away, hammered the little boy's hands into pulp as
punishment. When the father calmed down, he rushed his son to the
hospital.

Although the doctor tried desperately to save the crushed bones, he
finally
had to amputate the fingers from both the boy's hands. When the boy
woke up
from the surgery & saw his bandaged stubs, he innocently said, "
Daddy,I'm
sorry about your truck." Then he asked, "but when are my fingers going
to
grow back?" The father went home & committed suicide.

Think about this story the next time someone steps on your feet or u
wish
to take revenge. Think first before u lose your patience with someone u
love. Trucks can be repaired.. Broken bones & hurt feelings often
can't.
Too often we fail to recognize the difference between the person and
the
performance. We forget that forgiveness is greater than revenge.

People make mistakes. We are allowed to make mistakes. But the actions
we
take while in a rage will haunt us forever.

PERSONAL PERCEPTION

Different people have different perception. One man's meat could be
another
man's poison. A couple bought a donkey from the market. On the way
home,a
boy commented, "Very stupid. Why neither of them ride on the
donkey?"Upon
hearing that, the husband let the wife ride on the donkey. He walked
besides them. Later, an old man saw it and commented, "The husband is
the
head of family. How can the wife ride on the donkey while the husband
is on
foot?" Hearing this, the wife quickly got down and let the husband ride
on
the donkey.

Further on the way home, they met an old Lady. She commented, "How can
the
man ride on the donkey but let the wife walk. He is no gentleman."
The husband thus quickly asked the wife to join him on the donkey.
Then,
they met a young man. He commented, "Poor donkey, how can you hold up
the
weight of two persons. They are cruel to you." Hearing that, the
husband
and wife immediately climbed down from the donkey and carried it on
their
shoulders.

It seems to be the only choice left. Later, on a narrow bridge, the
donkey
was frightened and struggled. They lost their balance and fell into the
river. You can never have everyone praise you, nor will everyone
condemn
you. Never in the past, not at present, and never will be in the
future.

Thus, do not be too bothered by others words if our conscience is
clear..

RIGHT SPEECH

There is a Chinese saying which carries the meaning that "A speech will
either prosper or ruin a nation." Many relationships break off because
of
wrong speech. When a couple is too close with each other,we always
forget
mutual respect and courtesy. We may say anything without considering if
it
would hurt the other party.

A friend and her millionaire husband visited their construction site. A
worker who wore a helmet saw her and shouted,"Hi, Emily! Remember me?
We
used to date in the secondary school." On the way home, her millionaire
husband teased her, "Luckily you married me.Otherwise you will be the
wife
of a construction worker." She answered ,"You should appreciate that
you
married me. Otherwise, he will be the millionaire and not you."

Frequently exchanging these remarks plants the seed for a bad
relationship.
It's like a broken egg - cannot be reversed.

NO OVERPOWERING

Many relationships fail because one party tries to overpower another,or
demands too much. People in love tend to think that love will conquer
all
and their spouses will change the bad habits after marriage. Actually,
this
is not the case. There is a Chinese saying which carries the meaning
that
"It is easier to reshape a mountain or a river than a person's
character."

It is not easy to change. Thus, having high expectation on changing the
spouse character will cause disappointment and unpleasantness.

It would be less painful to change ourselves and lower our
expectations..

CREATING PERFECT RELATIONSHIPS?

A person visited the government matchmaker for marriage, SDU, and
requested
"I am looking for a spouse. Please help me to find a suitable one." The
SDU
officer said, "Your requirements, please." "Oh, good looking, polite,
humorous , sporty, knowledgeable, good in singing and dancing. Willing
to
accompany me the whole day at home during my
leisure hour, if I don't go out. Telling me interesting stories when I
need
companion for conversation and be silent when I want to rest." The
officer
listened carefully and replied, "I understand you need television."

There is a saying that a perfect match can only be found between a
blind
wife and a deaf husband ,because the blind wife cannot see the faults
of
the husband and the deaf husband cannot hear the nagging of the wife.
Many
couples are blind and deaf at the courting stage and dream of perpetual
perfect relationship. Unfortunately, when the excitement of love wears
off,
they wake up and discover that marriage is not a bed of roses. The
nightmare begins.
