This was Saidina Abu Bakar R.A. opening speech when he was appointed as the 1st Khalifah. MasyaAllah. May Dr Morsi brings back the Islamic spirit in the hearts of the people in Egypt.

A good reminder for leadership position bearers. At masjid, organisation, company, friends and not forgetting, family. (=

Allahu Akbar.

Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim said: “The degree to which a person is helped and aided by Allah depends on the degree of his intention, drive, aim and hopes. Help from Allah comes to people in proportion to their drive, intention, hopes and fears. Failure comes to them in a similar manner.”

Disappointment. I have only been that to myself and others, lately. and more importantly, I have not been fair to Allah and Rasulullah s.a.w.

What am I if I am only weaker and worse off today than yesterday? )=

Do we REALLY know?

Often, we find ourselves in situations that are uncomfortable and difficult to comprehend why it happened to us. But as creations with limited knowledge, the best that we can do is trust that this is the best for us and always seek the hikmah of the situation and that takes time, guts and effort. Fight. Harder.

“There is a story which Sayyidna Jalaluddin Rumi tells of an ant that’s creeping across the carpet in a mosque, and the ant complains to God saying: “what is this, these bumps, and strange colours, and patterns, this must have been created just as a meaningless obstacle course, what a futile thing to have made.”

But of course the carpet maker, looking at it from above can see the patterns and the purpose of it, and can see that the whole thing is perfect. And Allah (swt) is often like that.

We often can’t make sense of the misfortunes because we are two dimensional, we are at ground level, we can’t see what it all means, but the servants of Allah (swt) knows (even if he can’t always see) that this is a manifestation of Allah (swt)’s will which is always good and always perfect and always beautiful.”
